Spatial organization of the mystacial vibrissae of the rat. Blood sinuses surrounding the whisker roots were visualized using xylene (see Haidarliu and Ahissar,"Spatial organization of facial vibrissae and cortical barrels in the guinea pig and golden hamster" J.
